♥ Simon Says... Shaped Cards! ♥

That is the super fun challenge this week at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog! Make a shaped card! A circle, star, flower, you name it! As long as it's a shaped card, we want to see it!

The Simon Says DT used some Spellbinders dies this week! I chose to use the Labels 14 Nestabilities die and make some shaped note cards. These smaller dies are perfect for little note cards that can be made quickly.

On this first note card, I used the Thanks for Thinking of Me Mini clear stamp by Inkadinkado. As well as some ribbon, Martha Stewart rose and glitter and some Liquid Pearls.

On this next card, I used the Amazing Travels Mini Clear Stamp Set by Inkadinkado. As well as more glitter, ribbon and Copics.

This note card uses the Inkadinkado Reach for the Sky mini clear set. As well as, ribbon, glitter and Liquid Pearls.

This note card uses the Best Friends Mini Clear Stamp by Inkadinkado. As well as more glitter and Liquid Pearls.

And finally, this last note card uses an oldie but goodie Inkadinkado set called Love and Valentine. The little leaves are made with Mint Green Liquid Pearls.

Don't forget, the random winner of this challenge will win a $50 Credit Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Superstore!

I will have my Blogaversary winner posted shortly! ;)

♥ Simon Says... Use Newspaper! ♥

This week's challenge over at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog is sure to be a fun one! It is to use newspaper on your card! It can be real newspaper, newspaper cardstock or patterned paper, a stamped image with a newspaper on it, etc. How about making your own flowers out of real newspaper?! I can't wait to see what all of you creative peeps come up with!

For my card, I used some Magnolia Newspaper Cardstock for my background, sentiment tag and behind a clear button. To make the button, Just punch out a small circle the same size as a clear button. Place the punched circle behind the button and then using a paper piercer, pierce the paper through the button holes. Then thread some string or twine through both the button and paper (careful not to tear the paper) and then tie it off! Now you have a decorated button to match any project! Easy Peasy!

The stamp set I used is by Stampendous and it's called "Garden Beauty".(Such a gorgeous set!) I colored it in with some Copics and then brushed on some Ranger Crackle Accents over the image. It dries in less than an hour to a shiny, cracked surface! Love it!

To finish off my card, I also used some White Opal Liquid Pearls, white trim, a paper doily and ribbon.

Don't forget, the random winner of this challenge will win a $50 Credit Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Superstore!

Have a wonderful day!

♥ What's the Scoop? ♥

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Let's start the week off right with some shabby fun from The Shabby Tea Room! This week's challenge is called "So 'Charm'ing! It is to crate a card/project using the inspiration photo and you must also included a charm on your creation as well! How fun is that! I can't wait to see what you all come up with!

This week the Shabby Girls got to play with some Digi stamps from our sponsor Whimsie Doodles. I used the adorable Double Scooped ice cream cone and sentiment. It is from the Sentiments-Edibles collection. I printed it out twice and adhered the ice cream part on top of the cone using a mini glue dot. I colored it with some Copics and then added some glitter "sprinkles" to it.

I used some paper by The Girls Paperie and October Afternoon as well as some Prima Lace Trim, seam binding, pearls, a button, Spellbinders Labels 14, twine and a No. 5 charm. It was actually dark in color, so I painted it with some white paint.

This week's winner will receive a $10 Gift Certificate to the Whimsie Doodles Store!

♥ Your Heart shines like the Sun ♥

Hi everyone! I hope you all are having a wonderful day so far! This card is another one that I made for this week's Papercraft Star sketch. It is such a fun sketch, I had to make another! I am also using this week's challenge over at the City Crafter Challenge Blog. It is called "Let the Sunshine in" and it is to use a sun or the word sun on your card. I did both!

I first made my sun from twisting some yellow ribbon and then hot gluing it to a punched circle. I then added some glitter and a pearl and some ribbon rays. I printed the sentiment out from MS Word. And the papers are by My Mind's Eye called Bloom and Grow.

Here again is the sketch~

I was also inspired by the following challenges:

♥ Simon Says... Anything Goes!! ♥

This week's challenge is gonna be an easy one at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog! Anything Goes!! And this week the DT got to play with Stamps Happen stamps!

I chose this Panties stamp! As soon as I saw it, I thought of Caroline Manzo! If you don't know who she is, well she is from The New Jersey Housewives show on Bravo. Yes, I confess, I watch it! (I bet alot of you do too!) It is one of my guilty pleasures! LOL But in defense of us Jersey Girls, MOST of us here are not like them! I don't flip tables!! ;)

Anywho, on the show, she told one of the girls to get her big girl panties on. So, I decided to do something different and make a card with panties on it!! LOL I stamped the image with both brown and 2 shades of pinks and I printed the sentiment out of MS Word on to cardstock.

I also used some Prima trim, seam binding ribbon, Liquid Pearls in White Opal, twine and a button.

Don't forget, the random winner of this challenge will win a $50 Credit Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Superstore!

Have a great day!
